brolores park

Seems like some bros made a video about “chilling in the park” set to a relevant chillwave song by the Official Chilling Soundtrack of 2010.5, Toro y Brah. Feel like nothing about this is “not brobvious” [via kewt hula hoop girls, multiple washed-out heart sunglasses closeups, “this is gonna go on a blog” outtakes]. Still, feel like maybe “that is the point”. About a year ago when I started this blog I was like this lonebro who just moved to SF and was like “in my ideal brociety just want 2 chill and listen to chill tracks in the sun with my bros”, and felt like that was kind of somehow “alt” then [via the electrowars winding down, bros needing to learn how to “get out of the house/club/dj booth”]. But all memes reach a saturation point and I feel like “chilling with my bros in the sun” is reaching maximum brahpacity, kinda like the park. Feel like the park is a “visual representation” of a meme growing in popularity. Feel like videos about the park are trying to capture this ‘maximum meme state’ and feed it back into the internet in a continual meme loop that we can all just kind of chill to and feel like we’ve all been “part of something” that transcends the boundary between reality/the internet.

In short, I feel like it’s ok that Brolores Park is mainstream now. Seems like this will all just force us all to “chill harder” and figure out new ways to represent ourselves as a brommunity that can then be brocumented and discovered by new bros….

sorry bros trailed off there feeling 2 chill 2 type [via chillwaving]

You guys I’m confused. I went to the park today to chill but when I got there it looked like I was at a relevant music festival. Felt like I was at Brochella [via last weekend]. Couldn’t find any place to put down a blanket and rest during the bands because it was so full. Couldn’t find any bands either. I think maybe the bands couldn’t fit into the festival because there were so many people there. Wonder if you even need bands to have a relevant music festival anymore. Seems like you can just have ‘grass’ and ‘people’ and ‘drugs’ and ‘a dj playing chillwave’. I wonder if next weekend Dolores is going to start charging $300 for a three-day ticket to make sure that people ‘experience the whole thing’ instead of just coming for one afternoon… worried that Dolores is going to sell out of tickets… should I just be like ‘f the festival’ [via s0 entry level] and go to motel side parties instead? Wait, are we still in San Francisco or did Dolores Park move to L.A./Indio [via photogenic palm trees in the background]?

I saw this brontraption at the park and I couldn’t tell if this was a ‘dj booth’ or a ‘food cart’. It seems like it is trying to be a relevant mix of two popular alt technologies/memes. I wonder if this bro makes ‘record shaped pancakes’ on the turntables/stove. I wonder if they taste like ‘organic vinyl’ or if it is actually a turntable that plays records that sound like someone is cooking. This whole situation is making me feel ‘stoned’ [via Trufflebro]. I wish someone would just bring back ‘normal’ food vending like taco trucks instead of having to make everything all conceptual all the time.
I feel like a relevant food meme that is also ‘authentic’ could be Indian Fry Bread [via the Arizona State Fair // miss u]. I think I might make a food cart called Neon Indian Fry Bread and play Neon Indian while cooking fry bread on turntable shaped hot plates. I might also wear relevant Native American-inspired zig zag prints.

Broilus and Cressida
Watched some bros do Shakespeare in the park this weekend. Couldn’t figure out which play it was, but I think it was a bromedy, because the Shakesbros kept acting ‘wasted’ together/making sexual innuenbro and no one got broisoned [via Romebro and Juliet, Macbro, Brothello, Brolius Caesar]. I think that’s how you tell the difference between a bromedy and a tragedy [via English class].
Seems like Shakespeare writes a lot of plays/scenes about bros. Feel like he might be the original Bro Blogger.
